The Asia-Pacific Journal on International Humanitarian Law is inviting the submission of articles on subjects related to IHL, humanitarian policy or humanitarian action for publication in the 2020 edition. Authors are invited to send papers before 15 November.
The ICRC has teamed up with DisasterReady.org in order to offer the Introduction to International Humanitarian Law elearning course through its humanitarian online education platform.

Upcoming ICRC Climate Change Roundtables
In collaboration with the Climate Centre of the IFRC and the Overseas Development Institute, the ICRC is convening a global series of roundtables on conflict, climate and resilience. By gathering regional experts and humanitarian organizations to share knowledge and experience on people’s experience of conflict and climate shocks across the world, the aim is to better inform the ICRC and connect it with a wide network of local and national expertise on climate action. Roundtables have already been held in Nairobi, Abidjan, The Hague, Amman and Manilla, with two more due in Washington and Geneva. An ICRC policy report on climate and conflict will be published in early 2020.
ICRC and the Nexus
The ICRC has prioritized sustainable humanitarian impact in its new four year strategy and is undertaking extensive in-house research to examine why, how and where it has engaged across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus in recent years. This analysis will be presented in a new ICRC policy report on the ICRC and Sustainable Humanitarian Impact in late 2019.
