Detention Webinar

The ICRC has been visiting detainees to improve their detention conditions for over 150 years. However, in recent decades, our detention work has expanded to cover more activities, ensuring that:

  • The dignity and well-being of detainees are respected.
  • Their conditions of detention are in line with laws and internationally recognized standards.

We visit detainees during armed conflicts and other situations of violence for a very simple reason: humanity.

This summer 📅 on Tuesday, 4 June 2024, at 1 pm CEST, we invite you to join our career webinar to learn more about the ICRC's work in detention and opportunities to join our detention team.

The webinar will consist of:

  • An insightful presentation about the evolution of our work in detention
  • A panel discussion featuring ICRC colleagues working in diverse detention-focused roles.
  • Our recruitment processes
  • A live Q&A session with our guest speakers and recruiters
